I worked with John Hasty to do some work at one of my clients' office in Menlo Park. I am not from the area and on a tight schedule with traveling onsite. John was very accommodating with the short time I had in Menlo Park. He helped to sand, patch, and paint whiteboard paint on a very large wall and also did some miscellaneous sanding, patching, and painting in other areas. Very happy with the speed, quality, and cost of his work. Great having a trust partner especially when you directing work remotely.

It was a pleasure working with John and his crew. John came from a recommendation from another painter that only does interior work. We were painting the trim and exterior walls on our peninsula home. The process from signing the contract to finishing the punch list was done with a smile and efficiency. The job site was cleaned up at the end of the day,so you would not know there were painters working. John oversaw the job daily and even helped his crew finish on time. I will definitely consider using Patrician Finishes in the future for other painting needs.

John and his crew painted the exterior of our home and they did an amazing job. Prep is so important and they took their time and really made sure all the prep was done correctly, every detail taken care of. They were professional, quiet and neat. John and his team did a great job and showed tremendous integrity in restoring my garage door. The door faces south, and the finish had turned cloudy from years of intense sun exposure. John initially restored the door with a procedure intended to save me the cost of fully stripping the old stain. However, after we found that the initial damage was worse than thought and that the door was starting to discolor again after several months, John volunteered to strip the old stain completely and refinish the door at no additional cost.
It was great to work with someone who took so much pride in his work that he would fully stand behind his work and make sure that the job was done to the highest standards, even at significant added cost to himself.
We now have a garage door with a beautiful finish that looks far better than it did on the day it was originally installed! I will be sure to call John for any future wood refinishing needs.

John Hasty & Patrician Finishes are top-notch. Our double front doors had serious sun damage but the first two contractors who looked at them passed on the job due to the intricate finish. John provided a reasonable quote and was very clear on what to expect of him and his crew. They were extremely conscientious, arrived on time and cleaned up at the end of every day as if they had never been there. Our front doors now have a very rich red mahogany finish which matches the original color. I am absolutely pleased with the quality of the work and the ease of doing business with this exceptional company.

John is a real professional and a color expert. He did a great job of color matching the paint for us since we didn't have any records of what the original paint color was. He repaired our balcony by re-cutting the gaps between the boards for drainage, then stained them. He is also a friendly and honest guy. When I told him that I had overpaid him by not deducting our deposit from the final payment, he promptly issued me a refund check for the deposit amount. I am happy to recommend John and Patrician Finishes for an expert paint job.

John did a lovely job of refinishing the door. He was able to save the original finish and coat it with a coating that would protect it from the elements. It looks terrific - much better than black paint... He also helped us with restoring an antique table and repainting our ceiling. John is delightful, intelligent, responsive and prompt.
